Organizing Your Space

Having a cluttered space is the worst feeling, at least for me. This is especially true if it's my closet that is cluttered and all mixed up. It means I can't find anything, it takes longer to get dressed, and since it looks unorganized it makes me stress out. Even though I always put my things away in the right place, and I don't leave things laying around, somehow my closet needs a deep clean around every three to four months. I take everything out and start organizing by category and sleeve lengths, and it takes at least a couple of hours to finish. By the end, I feel like a new person and newly inspired to dress up. Keeping an organized closet can make all the difference in my opinion, and this goes for the rest of the house too. It can be difficult to keep the house in order when multiple people live there, in my case I live with my family, but it can also be helpful in cleaning and organizing if everyone works together. The hardest part is actually getting started when an area needs to be emptied and reorganized, and from there it's all a matter of time until you finish. Putting off a chore makes it worse in the long run, and procrastinating only extends the stress of knowing it has to be done eventually. Once you've organized the space, you need to try and maintain it. Put things back in their place, and it'll make all the difference. If you're dealing with a closet like mine, every time you buy a new clothing item, make a place for it. Consider this your sign to finally get that one chore done.
